This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning to read is one of the most challenging aspects of kindergarten. So much goes into our youngest learners acquiring language skills such as oral language, comprehension, phonics, phonemic awareness skills, and so much more. All of these aspects play a pivotal role in learning to read. These literacy center activities and kits will help my students learn and reinforce the skills necessary to learn to read. The books being requested will also go towards building our classroom library. These books are high-interest books and easy-to-read leveled texts. These resources will support my students' efforts in learning to read.
