My Students
My school is located in Stone Mountain, GA. Most of our students are from nearby motels where they provide shelters for homeless families. I service students with special needs in a interrelated setting. My students struggling to read, write, do math and socialize with peers. They need direct individualized instruction to practice remedial skills. They love to complete their assignments if it is broken down into simple steps with visuals and hands on materials.
My Special need students love to start their new school year with classroom materials that helps them to read, write, do math and help them to mingle with peers in a positive way.
For this, I am requesting the basic classroom materials that are needed to empower their learning.
My Project
The use of sight words talking board helps my students to be a fluent reader. I incorporate sight reading in my daily schedule for struggling readers.
My special need students will work with these materials to empower their learning skills.
I will be using the math board to have the better understanding of number concepts. I use it during my daily math talk time. Hundreds grids will be used for students who are in the learning process of identifying numbers and trying to recall from 1-100.
Daily schedule chart will help my Autism kids to see the visual schedule and understand the class routine.
