Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My TK students live in the low-income, mid-city district of Los Angeles. My students come to school every day and we have the highest attendance for a Title I/low-income school with a population of about 700 plus students. My Transitional Kindergarteners are a rambunctious, beautiful bunch of kids with so much life, love and learning to be had. They deserve everything the world has to offer and more! I am so proud of them, every step of the way! They are happy learners with smiles and excitement all day!
My Project
As my TK students and I enter our second to the last topic of the school year "Farm and Food Sources" they need realia and visuals to understand the many aspects of farm life.
These educational wooden magnetic puzzle pieces will allow my students to explore the concept of farms and create their own scenes as they learn about farms this year.
They will be able to build farm scenes on the magnetic easel as well as use it as a dry erase board to begin writing about this topic as well.
