My Students
The children that come into my class have never been to school before. I would love to make it a great experience for them. If they love school going into it then hopefully they will always love it. Some of the children don’t have much. What they have to play with at school is something to look forward to every day. It’s not just play, this is how they learn. They are learning social skills, math skills, reading skills, and much more.
My Project
Most of the materials that I have asked for belong in the dramatic play area. The food sets will help the children learn their food groups. We organize them in separate buckets by vegetables, fruits, meat, bread, and also dishes. Children learn the names of the foods and what category they go in. Also, there are multi cultural foods so that the children can learn what other cultures have and the similarities and differences. The dress-up outfits teach them about different community workers and what they do for us. The housekeeping set will help teach them how to clean. The shaving kit and beauty care will help them explore what it’s like to be an adult. Everything I have chosen has a place in my classroom. I hope to get even a few of these items. Anything helps. Thank you!
