This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to interact and socialize during independent centers. Having a variety of resources to play in centers allows for students to use more language. For example, having a telephone will promote students to call someone and have a pretend conversation. Having a cash register will promote students to talk about numbers, use customer service skills to charge others during a pretend visit to the grocery store.
Prek Students learn through play; having a variety of resources that promote language and social skills is key during independent choice centers.
