Learn the Brain in 3D

Help me give my students an anatomically accurate model to teach the spatial and functional regions of the human brain. The removable hemispheres allow exploration of structural relationships that are impossible to visualize on a page or screen.

My Project

The request is for a high-quality, anatomically accurate, human brain model for use in our high school International Baccalaureate (IB) Biology classroom. This multi-part model illustrates the spatial relationships, internal pathways, and specialized functional regions of the human brain. The removable hemispheres and cross-sectional views allow students to explore deeper structures that are otherwise impossible to visualize on a flat page or screen.

The model will be used directly to support hands-on investigation and illustrate the following required curricular content areas in IB Biology:

1. Neural and Endocrine Integration

2. Autonomic Regulation

3. Coordination of Movement

4. Circadian and Sensory Processing

Models bring tactile, three-dimensional anatomy into the hands of students, moving beyond abstract two-dimensional diagrams. Students can physically manipulate, orient, and assemble the structures of the brain, enabling them to use precise anatomical terminology, visualize internal structures, and develop understanding of human neurobiology.
