Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach twenty enthusiastic students who love to learn. I have a wide variety of learners in my classroom who enjoy the independence of choosing how they like to work on their assignments. My students have the opportunity to lay at the carpet with a white board, utilize various sizes of tables and desks, as well as using pillows for comfort.
I've observed a handful of teachers who use flexible seating in their classrooms.
As I implemented flexible seating, I witnessed remarkable results compared to when they have limited seating at their desks. This included better grades, excitement as they're more engaged in learning, and my students displayed a greater amount of focus when given these opportunities.
The seating I chose includes, Lakeshore comfy floor seats and Posh Creation Bean Bag Chairs. These seats will allow students to sit anywhere in class including our reading center to get the most comfort as they complete assignments. ECR4Kids leaf seat rockers and a Studico Active Wobble chairs will be great for my students who have the wiggles. It will allow them the moving sensation which helps them stay focused all while still giving their best effort.
I look forward to the positive motivation that these items will bring to my classroom environment. All my students will have the opportunity to enhance their learning development.
