Help me give my students the ability to learn from home while I teach remotely. This whiteboard, tabletop easel, and bulletin board will allow me to teach with ease and demonstrate essential learning targets.
Students are kind, respectful and helpful to each other with most living at or below the poverty level. Our school is diverse with at least 18 languages spoken. The students come from many backgrounds and family types.
Despite their family struggles, students in my class are eager learners, ready to challenge themselves and learn about their world.
For many of them, this is the first time they will have used a computer for learning. I want my ability to teach to be as effective, clear and easy to follow as possible to help these students learn during this difficult time. Because so many students come from backgrounds where they haven't had much exposure to learning basic skills, I am hopeful to make progress meeting learning goals the same as we would in the classroom.
My Project
Teaching remotely makes it challenging to present essential standards to students. These resources will allow me to teach my distance learning students with ease. The organization tools will help organize my ability to facilitate teaching through a video conferencing platform. Learning the calendar components is a big part of kindergarten. These simple calendar resources will help the daily math skills continue without interruption.
Students can learn phonics or math skills, similar to being in class, with the ability to show materials on the white board and easel.
I can show manipulatives, magnetic letters, magnetic pattern blocks as well as demonstrate writing skills vertical, so the computer camera will capture the lessons for students to learn just as they would in class. These materials will be an integral part of my video based lessons as I am teaching and presenting essential foundational skills to early learners. Once we return to the classroom for in person learning, I will be able to utilize the resources there as well.
