Learn by Having FUN!

Help me give my students much needed calculators! Also an opportunity to learn with math games inside the classroom and to have equipment to play during recess with hoola hoops and jump ropes!

My Students

Currently 100% of my students are receiving free breakfast and lunch at school. In my school's community many of my students live with extended family as poverty is prevalent and two parent families are not common.

My school demographics show that 86% of students are considered economically disadvantaged.

Many of my students come to 4th grade reading below grade level which impacts all of their subjects, however are eager to learn. My students work hard to overcome the obstacles they face and they love to learn using games!

My Project

Currently the calculators that my students are using are on their way out. Many have keys that stick and equations have to be entered several times before they will work correctly. My students are hard workers who are grateful for the supplies that we have, which makes me want to give them the best that I can.

I truly believe students are more receptive to learning when they are playing. These math games and recess equipment will help me reach my students while they are having fun learning!
