Help me give my students a pen tablet so we can work problems together directly during distance learning!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
As a third-year educator, I teach third grade at a wonderful school located in Detroit. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and family structures.
We have beautiful students who are always motivated to learn!
As an educator, I strive to provide them with the best opportunities for aiding their education. It is essential that teachers can provide their students with materials that allow them to learn in ways that meet their various unique needs. Children need a chance to experiment as they learn, and I aim to provide that.
This pen tab will help me lead my students by example and allow them to participate in class examples by doing work on the board while maintaining distance and CDC guidelines. Math problems or ELA note-catchers and writing pieces will be displayed on the screen and the students will be able to work just as if they are walking to board to solve it. I can use mine to model the problems and help guide them through difficult concepts.
With the pen they will be able to participate in classroom discussion and examples directly from their seats on the board.
It will help make instruction and learning more interactive for both the students and I while maintaining distance. The ability to work math problems beside me on the board will provide opportunities to model how to solve the problems and give instant feedback to the students. It is a different way to take in the material other than traditional pen and paper.
Furthermore, during distance learning - I can use this to demonstrate problems to the students with great ease as our students learn!
