Help me give my students games, activities and tools, for the opportunity to engage in learning more about their emotions & how to manage them. My students are struggling to engage in coping skills this year, given their trauma based backgrounds.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher for 6th, 7th and 8th grade, boys and girls. I have been teaching for the last 6 years, and am approaching my 7th year. Time flies when you're having fun! It's safe to say that both the kids and I have a blast! I teach at a Title I school, which means that sometimes my kids & their families can't afford the basic necessities. My students live in a variety of housing situations, from a motel room, sharing a house with other families, and sometimes, living in a foster situation. My students have a range of disabilities, such as dyslexia/learning disabilities, behavior disorders or mental health disorders. Given the global needs of my students, sometimes parents cannot afford school supplies. Unfortunately, this means that when it comes to back to school supplies, my students often don't have what they need to start school off successfully. I am fundraising for school supplies that I know my students will need in order to start and continue through the school year. Thank you for anything you can give!
My Project
My students are constantly learning social skills through evidence-based practices. They need daily social skills instruction in order to be successful in their classes and in their personal lives. Students will use the social skills games throughout the school year in order to practice the skills they learn through direct instruction. Our classroom could use an update of social skills games in order to meet our student's individual needs.
In order for my students to be successful in a post-secondary setting, they need social skills instruction on how to manage their emotions, engage in appropriate coping mechanisms and learn to self-advocate and utilize essential soft skills.
