This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Shared reading is a time during the day where students can enjoy a book and also learn good reading habits from their teacher. My students are so eager to read! Students come from low income housing so students are always looking for ways to help them grow as a learner in the classroom. Students then can bring their learning home to show their families! Reading a book of high level interest is so important to them!
This project would help students enjoy a good book with their friends, but also learning reading strategies at the same time!
Our class would continue their journey of reading by having books to share! This would help them become proficient readers and keep their love of literacy alive!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
