Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students, like everyone else, are food-motivated. Students are given a ring of sight words to work on for the week and then are tested on Fridays! On Fridays, they are rewarded if they learn all their words to choose a snack of their choice. If they did not learn them they continue to work on them for the following week. Students who master all the sight words have other individual goals.
Students are motivated by snacks to learn sight words!
Students ask their parents, siblings, aunt, uncles, and grandparents to help them so that they reach their weekly goal to get a snack as a reward!
