My students are sponges. Many of my students have come to me with nothing. Their parents are also victims of low poverty and low levels of education. My students appreciate what we are teaching them and are amazed at what they are learning. Many, if not most of my students, come with very little and leave reading at the district level. My students appreciate what I provide additionally for the classroom and respect my materials and cherish them as they are theirs. I often send home resources and materials to families that lack these items at home.
