Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students will learn about bird life cycles first-hand using the clear dome egg incubator to hatch fertilized chicken eggs; and process what they are learning using chicken life cycle figures and plush toys to pretend the hen is laying eggs, sitting on eggs, then play that eggs are hatching chicks. In addition because 4 and 5 can be hard ages, they will use sensory tools that stretch, squish, or facinate watching sand or beads in an hourglass to help calm their bodies and regulate their emotions when they are dysregulated.
