We just received 10 new LeapFrog Tag Readers through a technology grant, but now we need the books to finish off the project. This wonderful program promotes listening and reading comprehension while expanding their vocabulary,phonics skills, print awareness and excitement about reading.
My students are unique group of kindergrtners that range in academic abilities, many of my students are experiencing school for the first time and have limited experience outside our rural community, but they all love books and are eager to learn to read.
My Project
The Tag reading system uses a special pen that takes the student through the book word by word, using amazing touch technology. The titles of the books I have chosen to go with our Tag Readers are my students favorite characters along with some all time classics. I am confident that our new library of Tag Readers will excite and motivate all of my students from the nonreaders to the beginners.
Your donation of 12 tag books will allow us the ability to use our new tag readers, and help engage all my students in becoming independent and confident readers.
