You know what they say, "if you can't beat them, join them." Fortunately, today's technology reaches far beyond video games. Now we can offer students the opportunity to actively learn the skills necessary to succeed in today's busy world. Through the use of fun and innovative products designed to keep up with the imagination of a young child, my students can learn, think, grow and develop while they "play." The Leap Frog Leap Pad and interactive book system will help my students work both independently and with a friend to review basic skills as well as develop new skills. The "My First Leap Pad" is designed specifically for Kindergarten students as they grow and learn. Students can work on basic skills such as rhyming, beginning reading, fundamental letter recognition, and basic sight words. This fun and interactive system of learning can help foster a love for learning for my students. They can work daily with the Leap Pad at a center to play and learn. It can work as a motivational tool to help reinforce my Kindergarten curriculum. It can work to challenge my lower learners as well as entertain and enhance the learning of my higher students.
