Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Technology is an ever evolving use in a classroom that can be honed by my high poverty children. I teach 2nd grade children in a high poverty district with high demand for accountability to reach standards.

My students face the challenge of going home every day to an environment which does not support learning, or high technological learning for that matter. There are many obstacles we face everyday in the classroom, but new technology seems to grab their attention and there are many uses for it.

I need 2 Leapster2 Handheld Systems which connect to the Internet that will serve as a gateway for learning. These students will benefit by the use of these systems in a matter of ways. My choices for them are endless with these 2 gifts!

The empowerment of my students comes from you, the donors to help my high poverty classroom out. We can better fulfill the needs of students together! Let's work together and help put the pieces of the puzzle together for learning!
