This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Leap Day comes around once every four years and it is so fun to teach to students! I would love to celebrate 2.29.24 with a Time Capsule Creation Project!

Help us "Leap" into learning with a story, time capsule tubes, and a variety of pens for Time Capsule Creation to be opened by students in 4 more years!

The book, Leap Year Book, will be used to engage the class is a discussion about the need for a "Leap Day" every 4 years. We would then complete a series of activities to be placed in tubes as our "Leap Day" Time Capsules to be opened in 2028! The pens & plastic pouches will be used to complete & store the writing tasks and the label makers will be used create labels for the outside of the tubes to ensure the capsules state not to open them until 2028.
