I need six professional texts to help me become a literacy leader at my campus and within my district. Writing and reading are my personal passion and I want to continue to grow and learn.
I have the joy of working with seven and eight year old students in a suburban community school. Our student population includes students from a variety of backgrounds. We have recently seen a significant increase in the number of students who are experiencing homelessness and/or qualify for free/reduced-price lunch. Our population is also becoming more mobile, which means more students entering and leaving our school throughout the year.
Our school is an integral part of the community and we firmly believe that both our differences and similarities are what make us a family.
My Project
My goal is to become a literacy leader on my campus and within my district. I believe as a classroom teacher it is important for me to follow my passions and to keep growing. I want to share my passion and knowledge with other teachers so we can all be our best selves for our students.
