This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been through it all. They are strong, caring, and in need of more. No, not more life struggles, but more support. Unfortunately, their resources are far and few, yet they deserve a bigger picture from to view life from.

If you could sit down with one of them for 15 minutes to listen to their life story, you would walk away wanting to do more and be more!

As their teacher I know I cannot save them all, nor change their situations, but I can spark the thought of a better life. This is why I created this project for a positive outlet inside my classroom.

My Project

My classroom tends to be a very busy place, from athletes to musicians, to the top 25 in the school, and so I started this project FOR ALL who stop by. Whether the student actually has my class or not, I want them to be able to take what they need from it.

I want students to be able to find something they'd like to read while taking a break from everything they carry.

A chance to dive into someone else's story while they are in the middle of their own.

For some, it will be encouragement or help from me, however, for most, they will need more than that. This is where my Leadership Library comes into play. The assortment of books will allow them to choose something they are interested in and even take it home. I hope to encourage more reading, as well as, a fun positive outlet for them individually, but we are committing to this altogether. Thank you for your help...Cariños!
