My students need many fun, meaningful, and tangible experiences when learning to read.

My Students

My students are eager Kinderfriends with better than average attendance. Many of my students did not attend a preschool program, but they are willing to try new things. Our school is located in an urban center and all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My class consist of a large group of Kindergartners, including some students with disabilities, students who are English language learners, and some of gifted and talent population.

We are readers to be leaders and great computers!

As the year moves along, I am amazed at how my students love to learn and my families are completely engaged in their educational journey.

My Project

With lots Kindergartners, my students need constant modeling of what reading of authentic literature sounds like. They are emerging into their reading cadence, but need to hear other readers to make them better. A listening center with trade books and compact disks will assist with task.

My Kindergarten class is comprised of many boys and girls, each with personality and a love for learning.

They come to school almost daily. Our reading is emerging and the love to work in small groups. My school is located in a inner city. The attitude of school is not of an inner city attitude.
