Our young artists love drawing in the library after our library lesson. The kids are motivated by our LCD tablets but we do not have enough for a class set and they are growing in popularity. Our student population represents cultures from Korea, Ukraine, Cambodia, Africa, Japan, India, Russia, Vietnam, Iraq, Mexico and more. Our students LOVE to read about racial justice books and books that represent their cultures. Their drawings and writing reflect the books they read.
LCD drawing tablets allow students to illustrate and write their own stories!
Students also love to draw illustrations connected to the story we read in library class. Many students have asked me to get more and so I created this project to surprise them next year. These definitely help us save paper which is especially important during budget cuts.
