This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In many schools, music programs are essential in helping children develop creativity, discipline, and a love for the arts. One of the best ways to introduce kids to music is through simple, affordable instruments like the recorder. This year is my third year of teaching and I get to teach my primary students about musical notes as they learn to play recorders.

That’s why I am writing my second project (Part II)....it is to ask for your help!

Your generous donation can provide a high-quality green recorder to a child who might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn. Many elementary school students lack access to their own recorders, making it difficult for them to fully engage in music classes.

As students learn how to play the recorder, we will be also participating in a hands on read aloud of the book Lazlo Learns More Recorder: Notes G and E by Vice Weber and Masha Klot. This class set of books allows me to bring the literature to life as students get to touch their own copies of the book. Help me give my students access to the joy of making music. Together, we can create a brighter future for young musicians!
