Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's hard enough to get uniforms and school supplies. Keeping them clean can be challenging for some students. Fortunately, here on campus, we have a washer and dryer that we use to wash our students uniforms. The demand we got last school year to help students wash their clothes was high but we made it work. This school year, we have seen a higher level of laundry demand and we need laundry detergent to wash everything and keep everyone clean. The different types of laundry detergent will help our students with laundry time and keep their school uniforms clean and fresh.
On campus, we have students who need assistance keeping their uniforms clean.
The laundry detergent options we will offer will accommodate those students who have any skin issues. Lysol detergent keeps everything sanitized and smelling better. The fabric softener is a bonus.
We are a Title I, Performance Improvement school with 100% participation in the free lunch program. A huge number of parents work two jobs and are struggling to support the family. Though their environment may not be conducive to learning, my students have an insatiable love of learning! I know that if we provide them with the right support, resources, and opportunities, they will become successful.
