This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I thought I knew my students before, but now that I've seen them at home through Zoom, I understand them on a whole new level. It's clear that my 4th graders spend many hours viewing content on TV and online and that they learn by touching, creating, and building things. If they are to be engaged at school, I need to teach content through hands-on experiences.

Right now, my students need to fall in love with in-person school again.

My Project

Artemis I is the first in a series of missions that will enable human exploration to the Moon and Mars. The people at LEGO are offering nine lessons called Build to Launch, which will put students in the shoes of NASA engineers, scientists, and astronauts as they learn about the STEAM concepts and careers behind the Artemis I mission. They’ll even get to interact with both the LEGO© Space Team and their NASA counterparts along the way!

LEGO® Education BricQ Motion Essential kits will get students inspired and engaged as they gear up for the Artemis I Launch on November 22, 2021.
