This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Learning concepts is better understood when we explore. No great scientist has learned without at least some hands-on exploration! We want to learn to model fundamental concepts in Chemistry by the end of the second semester.

Circuit-building kits help to demonstrate how energy flows!

Students will spend time working through projects and creating their own pathways for energy flow. They will plan, construct a writeup about their plan (which includes predicting an outcome and writing a claim based on evidence), and build their project using the kit materials.

Chemistry kits allow students to predict atomic interactions (based on theory) and experiment! Students will model atomic interactions based on chemistry theory, will make predictions about chemical reactions, and will test their predictions.

Our kids deserve an opportunity to learn how the universe works and to become contributors to the body of STEM knowledge.
