Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These method books are the beginning of creating a band that is based in foundational techniques. Tone, Intonation and rhythmic integrity are all emphasized as well proper posture and sound production on each instrument, allowing each student to learn the specifics of their own instrument in a large group setting.
I aim to use these books to kickstart my band program so students feel confident come concert season.
With the assistance of this band method book, I will be able to incorporate the exercises in the book to teach students how to read music, understand musical vocab, and ultimately perform on their instruments.
This method also has an extensive online element that will allow students to see and hear professionals in their instruments.
