My Project
My students love learning about outer space, and they can't quite get enough of STEM activities and using the scientific method. The supplies in this project will allow students to make multiple rockets (some that actually launch) including balloon rockets, straw rockets, cardboard rockets, and fizzy (exploding) rockets. They will also be able to create an alien hovercraft.
STEM is the foundation of this unit, and students are eager to get messy with it!
In order to make it a success, we need plenty of supplies for each child. We will need various sizes of straws and balloons for the balloon rockets and straw rockets, and film canisters & antacid tablets for the film canister rockets. The alien hovercraft requires sports water bottle lids and balloons to go with CDs. Goggles are also needed for many STEM activities!
