My Students

Our school serves students in third, fourth and fifth grade through a curriculum with a strong focus on language arts, math, science, and social studies. Our district is comprised of three rural townships: East Deer, West Deer, and Frazer. Our students come to school each day eager to learn, discover, create, and explore!

We incorporate various learning strategies, group work, flexible seating, and technology to ensure all students' needs are met.

Being that our school houses grades 3-5, our students love any activity that is hands-on. They love to build, design, experiment, create, and collaborate as much as possible throughout the day.

My Project

We are setting out to create an amazing MakerSpace for our students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade here at East Union Intermediate Center. All of our 450+ students will have access to our “Launch Lab” and will visit the space at least twice per week.

With your help, we will turn our drab library into a “Launch Lab” full of awesome spaces for our students to learn, create, and “launch” their innovative, new ideas.

The space will include a brainstorming and planning hub, building stations, and a Creativi-TEE wall. Our students will have the chance to be creative and collaborate with their peers in a very unique and updated setting!
