Laughing Our Way to Better Reading with Graphic Novels

Help me give my students graphic novel comics like SumoPuppy and Invasion of the Unicorn to help my students laugh their way into improved reading!

My Project

Middle school is a challenging time for many students, but for students with print-based learning disabilities, middle school is a time of feeling fear that your peers will notice that you are not yet able to read. We can begin to overcome this by having books that these students can and want to read! This will have them reading more words, leading to increased reading outcomes.

My students need books that they can read and that they want to read!

They need books that will make them laugh. They need books that will give them the desire to work hard to master the skills they don't yet have. Books like SumoPuppy and Invasion Of The Unicorn graphic novels will draw them in and foster their desire to read.
