This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There’s something magical about watching students light up when they find a book they love. As the school librarian, my goal is to make our library a space where every student feels excited and confident to read. My library students are imaginative, curious, and full of energy. They deserve access to books that match their enthusiasm—and the Captain Underpants series is the perfect fit. These books are packed with humor and adventure, making them especially engaging for reluctant and emerging readers.

To support this reading experience, I’m also requesting a set of 24 Pack Black Cardboard Magazine Holders.

These sturdy book bins will help me organize and display our collection in a way that’s accessible and inviting. Students will be able to browse the Captain Underpants series independently and easily return books, helping keep our space tidy and encouraging responsibility.

The books will build literacy skills, boost comprehension, and most importantly, help students see reading as something fun and enjoyable. The magazine holders will support organization and independence, giving students a sense of ownership in their library. My goal is to spark a love for reading while teaching library habits that last a lifetime. Your support can help make our library a joyful, student-centered place to grow and learn!
