My Project

Whether it's l'Arte, L'Art, El Arte, or Ars, regardless of the culture, ART is an engaging focus for language teaching. Our goal is to harness the creative genius of students through an artistic approach to language teaching and learning. Art provides a platform for expression and exploration through the analysis of culture. Imagine studying ancient Rome and then designing and displaying your own version of the Colosseum? Or analyzing the cultural significance of Picasso's Guernica and then recreating your own interpretation!? These are exciting projects that we would like to display for our entire school community. This request will allow us to purchase frames to create a changeable in-school art gallery.

Our goal is to provide our students with a creative outlet for the study of history, cultural values, and traditions, and to showcase these skills!

Art allows students to explore cultural artifacts, symbols, and artistic expressions unique to the language they are learning. Engaging with art enhances language acquisition by providing authentic contexts for vocabulary and grammar through describing, analyzing, and discussing artworks in the target language! Help us strengthen our students' linguistic skills and move them up the proficiency ladder using art as a stepping stool!"
