My students need a large touchscreen tablet in order to independently activate and receive immediate feedback while participating in structured learning activities.

My Students

My classroom is made up of students that have multiple disabilities. Students assigned to my classroom require adaptive equipment to accommodate their special needs.

My students respond best when presented with multisensory learning activities.

Use of learning materials with visual, auditory and tactile properties make for a more stimulating learning experience and allow students to achieve their potential.

My students benefit from participating in activities that help improve their motor skills and physical coordination as well as aid with balance.

My Project

Tablets with touch screen access are powerful tools for students with disabilities. Students that have difficulty using a mouse or keyboard can be more independent using a touch screen.

Large touch screen technology can improve the life of a student with multiple disabilities by meeting their educational needs.

Adding interactive technology to a classroom can be invaluable in teaching students with diverse disorders, including autism, learning disabilities, speech/language disorders, orthopedic disabilities, and vision impairments.

Using touch screen technology helps students tie the movement of the hands and eyes to onscreen activity where they can see direct results. Large screen multimedia programs provide more engaged opportunities for all students because of the large, interactive display.
