Laptops For Wood Middle School

My students need laptops to create professional projects and presentations to be prepared for our modern workforce.

My Students

The students at Wood Middle School are a very diverse group from a wide range of backgrounds. This diversity makes Wood M.S. such a special place. The students work together to collaborate and make themselves into the best people they can become.

Our students need technology to be prepared to enter the modern work force.

It would be wonderful to have powerful laptops for student use. We do have access to chromebooks which I am very thankful for. However, they do have several limitations. They are great for viewing information, and interacting with previously created information. One major limitation is creating new professional information. I would like to add five laptops to our classroom so each student group could have one laptop for multimedia classroom presentations. I also need laptops to run an advanced software for our student events. I am volunteering to host a DJ club where students can learn to mix music, and create their own original mix tape. We need laptops for this as chromebooks do not support this software. Thank you all for viewing this project and I am very grateful for anyone who can contribute.

My Project

I need laptops for my students. We have access to chromebooks, which I am very thankful for. However we need the laptops to be able to create original multimedia projects, and presentations. Allowing every student group access to these laptops means that their group assignments will be that much more up to date with standards of today's professional world.

These laptops will also be used to host a DJ club for our students to expand their creative side.

Having these computers would allow the student to mix their own music and eventually perform at our school functions, such as dances. If we can have our own students DJ the dances it will save the school about $1000 per year. That money can then be spend on other needed school resources.
