Thank you for considering to fund my project. I am a 6th grade math teacher, working in a school district where almost all students are from low-income households.
I am writing to request a donation of two laptops to support my students.
As an educator in an equity-focused school, I work with a diverse group of students. Many of my students do not have reliable access to technology at home, which presents a significant barrier to their learning.
This year, due to budget constraints, our school is unable to provide loaner laptops or devices for teachers to lend to students. As a result, when a student's laptop malfunctions or is unavailable, they are left with no option but to sit idly without the tools they need to complete assignments. Having access to a laptop would ensure that students can continue their work, even when their laptops are not functional.
I would also like to offer an option to borrow the laptop, so students who need to complete make-up work at home can catch up on missed assignments and stay on track academically.
