My Students

My school is an inner city, low income Philadelphia Public School. Our school is very diverse and I teach many English Language Learner students. Many students don't have access to the internet at home and can not benefit from several sites that we regularly use in Mathematics.

The school district can not afford to purchase enough technology to accommodate each student in my class.

They are eager to learn and enjoy Mathematics. With the help of Donors Choose I hope that I can get some more technology to meet their educational needs.

My Project

My students need laptops to help improve their math skills. Most of my students do not have access to technology outside of school. By adding laptops to my classroom my students will be able to use several research proven websites in order to help raise their math skills to the next level! Many of these websites will read the problem to my students. This will drastically help my large population of English Language Learners. With aid from the programs, they will be able to work on higher level word problems and not have to struggle to read them.

Our school budget has been drastically cut and we do not have the funds to purchase any technology.
