My Students

My fifty two 5th grade elementary students are a mix of your everyday students who come to school eager to learn and participate in the interactive lessons throughout the course of the day.

By using laptops, we will be immersed into a TECH SAVVY classroom!

We love our electronics! We have two desktops, but they won't travel to our centers or desks. Sometimes that just doesn't fit into the "explore now and learn" that our kids want to participate in.

What we do now: look up basic information (quick research on two desktops) or play online quizzes that tie into math and science, usually just on our phones or tablets ( if we brought them).

What we want to do: participate in greater research topics using many online resources, utilize online notebook versions for our subjects, explore math with virtual manipulatives, view various science videos- all while exploring and enriching our current studies.

These laptops will make a difference every day in our classroom!

My Project

These two laptops will enhance our current technology access in our classroom. Crowding around our two computers in our room limits the activities and capabilities of what students could do.

Our students LIVE & LEARN in the age of technology.

This is just one way for us to tap into that potential that technology will offer.

With these laptops, the activities for students are unlimited.

With writing, students can research information that they wish to use and incorporate into their writing. They will have quicker access to the information they are looking for. In reading, the students can find books they can't in any library because the books are specifically created for today's digital readers and learners and only available online. Interactive science and math activities are available right at their fingertips with a click or a swipe. With various math and science programs, students can work on understanding concepts, proficiency, and logical thinking on their level and pacing.

This technology may be the one spark that will light the fire for our students.
