Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a teacher in 2024, we have to prepare our students for the future. The future (and the present) is already full of technology. Students need to have access to different technology in our ever-changing world. They also need to be prepared to use technology in the event they have to learn remotely.

In the classroom, students will use this computer to research as well as use different curriculum-based learning programs our school has purchased.

While it's amazing that we have the ability to use these things, we really need the technology to help students gain access. Having the ability to have children troubleshoot using and use a computer will make for a seamless transition should we go remote.

Students are very visual learners. We are constantly printing and making resources and pictures. This can become very wasteful. By using a digital platform, we can reduce waste and access the same visual resources that help our students! This will also be a huge help for students who need visual support to communicate!
