This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school. My students come from low income households. Quite a few do not have the luxury of a computer or internet at home. Nevertheless, they are enthusiastic about school and love to learn.

My students thrive when they are properly equipped to excel.

I strive to ensure they engage in relevant and interesting lessons that will help them propel their passion for learning throughout the year and their lives. This project will help further my goal for them.

My Project

These computers will help my students meet their goals during class time. While my students come from poverty stricken homes, they are still enthusiastic about meeting their goals. At times we do not have enough computers to accommodate the number of students in a group to get on so sometimes they cannot meet their educational goals. They can access curriculum at home, but many of my students - and generally the ones who need it most - do not have either a computer or internet or both at home, so they end up not getting the extra help they need. These laptops will change that!
