My Students

In my second-grade classroom, every student is special and valued in their own and unique way. By teaching second grade in the same Title I school for the last 14 years, I've taken joy in being a part of a special school community where students, families, and teachers work together to give all kids a strong social-emotional and academic foundation.

My Project

A laptop computer will allow me to reach my students while not allowed to teach them face-to-face. I can show class material using a document camera that connects via USB, assign materials via google classroom, and conduct live teaching lessons using the built-in webcam and zoom.

This computer will allow me to continue to grow my students, who have already missed out on so much of their education with school shutdowns and stay at home orders.

I plan to conduct a "normal" school day using zoom, but need a good computer in order to do so. My students deserve quality direct instruction, and a laptop computer will allow me to do this while staying safe in my own home.
