My Project
I am so excited to return to teaching Kindergarten! Each year I am greeted by an awesome group of students who are eager to learn and share. Their various interests and learning styles keep me searching for new and innovative ways to keep them engaged and meet their needs. I am so fortunate to have a job that is never boring! Their sense of wonder and enthusiasm keeps me looking forward to each day. I sometimes think that I learn as much from them as they do from me!
With a laptop in our classroom, my students can participate in research, utilize computer-based learning, enrich understanding with interactive videos and lessons, and have multiple ways to demonstrate mastery of the skills and concepts they are learning.
Now, more than ever, computers are needed in the classroom. This laptop will put virtual field trips, thousands of online books, interactive lessons, and STEM activities and experiments right at students' fingertips. With the click of a mouse, experts can be consulted, questions can be answered, and the wonders of the world can be brought right into the classroom.
Computers support learning in every subject area and allow students to read, investigate, and explore what interests them.
The learning gains made in Kindergarten are amazing. It is so rewarding to work with students and to see their academic, emotional, and social growth over the course of the year. These tiny scholars will impress you!
