My Students

I am blessed to work with boys and girls everyday!! They are so special to me and I only want the best for them.

I teach in a low socioeconomic area and the 70 boys and girls that come through my Reading and Language Arts class each day are on a variety of levels.

Many of them have quite a bit of catching up to do and with the new Common Core Standards requiring a much deeper understanding of skills, my teaching has to be intentional.

My Project

These resources will be used in a station and rotated weekly. The children will have the opportunity to work in groups and take a close look at the reading passages. They will be comparing/contrasting and breaking down the passages on multiple levels. They will use the clips to find specific evidence in the texts.

We have been so blessed at our school to receive funding for multiple projects.
