Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in preschool grow their language and interpersonal skills by having the opportunity to create with their peers. Students are highly engaged when communicating with their peers to problem-solve. These resources of storytelling kits combine some of their favorite stories with the chance to play with their classmates. Our library center will use these for students to retell stories, solve problems, and build friendships.
Students at this age love to role-play from stories they've heard, and these resources will help develop critical thinking skills.
My goal for this project is to provide engaging materials that help grow critical thinking skills during our library center time. My students are still at the age where the pandemic has impacted their interpersonal and communication skills. I believe these resources, will serve many purposes to help them overcome the barriers they faced early on.
