Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The aim of this project is to have Hispanic English language learners create ottomans from used water bottles to be part of classroom library to promote literacy, reading skills, and environmentally friendly activities.

Our students will benefit from this project as they will be active participants from collecting the bottles from different classrooms to building their own mini bilingual library.

Access to bilingual books in an appropriate bookshelf, a carpet to sit on to read, and student-friendly materials to build padded ottomans with plastic bottles will motivate and engage students throughout the school year.
