Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English as a New Language learners who are eager, curious, and full of potential. Every day, they work hard to build their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while adjusting to a new language and school environment. To support them, I want to create a classroom that is both welcoming and filled with engaging tools that make learning English fun, hands-on, and interactive.

The items in this project—such as phonics flash cards, magnetic sight words, dry erase mats, and literacy charts—will directly support language development and help my students strengthen foundational skills.

Flexible seating, organization tools, and classroom essentials will create a comfortable, well-structured environment where students can focus and thrive. Interactive resources like Play-Doh tools, science kits, and bright visuals will make lessons come alive, giving my students meaningful ways to connect words to real-world experiences.

In addition, a Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card will allow me to access high-quality, ready-to-use ENL resources that are specifically designed to meet my students’ unique language needs. These digital materials will help me adapt lessons quickly, differentiate instruction, and give my students even more opportunities to succeed.

With these resources, I can provide my English learners with the supportive, engaging classroom they deserve—one where they feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
