Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the privilege of working in the best Title 1 school in our state. These students are from a variety of backgrounds and cultures which brings such diversity and fun to our school, along with challenges such as language barriers.
My Project
Communication is a big part of student learning. With this translator I will be able to help the ESL students I teach better understand what I am trying to teach them. My students and I will be able to communicate.
This device will give my students the ability to understand what is being asked of them and a teacher who can communicate with them as well!
There is a gap in my classroom with some of my students only speaking their native language. I want to be able to teach them the different aspects of art and how they too can achieve anything not only in English but also in a language they know as well.
