My students have overcome a lot of change and social emotional situations in their short lives. Many can't really remember what life was like before the pandemic rocked our world. For the first time that they can remember, they are able to see the mouths of the people they come into contact with, and they can hold hands and share toys with their friends.
My students need to boost their language skills by listening to read alouds and discussing the stories.
These resources will help us interact with great literature by using the retelling character pieces. We will also be able to work on word building as we put our letter-sound knowledge to use. It is an exciting time to be in school and my students are ready to thrive in this new reality. I can't wait to see their confidence grow as well as their social skills.
