My Students
Our classroom of students are amazing thinkers and explorers. It is wonderful to see a group of students who are not afraid to take a chance, experiment with another way, and ask questions that make me, as a teacher, really think.
Our students are striving to develop a deeper understanding of a variety of approaches to language arts, how to gain better communication and writing skills.
I am continually impressed at the passion for learning that 4th graders have. We are reaching for the stars!
To help us achieve our goals this year, we are looking to expand our classroom hands-on tools for language arts learning.
My Project
Language Arts curriculum in elementary school is a comprehensive program which covers reading, fluency, comprehension, developing vocabulary, proper word use, grammar, spelling, parts of speech, and a dozen more areas. In addition to whole class instruction, providing students with tools for independent work will help them develop these necessary skills.
Many students find greater success in working in a self-paced and supportive environment when combined with whole class instruction.
The hand2mind system provides support in phonics, fluency, comprehension skills, vocabulary, text structure, in addition to science and social studies text.
