This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students say they are not excited about reading. But they love graphic novels and resources in their native language! Help get students pumped up about books with these great language resources!

The most popular books in my English classroom last year were graphic novels and comics.

These works are especially helpful for English language learners because they help students connect vocabulary to the real world. Also, due to our school’s large population of Afghani refugee students, and dearth of resources, Pashto books and dictionaries are always needed.
